Fenophone in your DAW
The same instrument as a VST3/AUv3 plugin: it follows your project's tempo, every control automates from the host, and its state saves with your project. One-time purchase — the browser stays free.
What you get
- The same instrument. The plugin shares the browser instrument's engine — the same packs, the same controls, the same sound. A setup you like in the browser is the same music in your project.
- Project tempo sync. It follows your project's tempo; placement stays exact. No tempo, no problem — the Tempo control takes over.
- Host automation. Every control — intensity, spread, change rate, layers, flow, level, tempo, key, and the layer pins — is a host-automatable parameter with a stable id.
- Genres on the bar. The genre selector switches packs on the take's next bar — the old pack finishes its bar, the new downbeat lands on the bar line.
- State in your project. Save the project, reopen it, and the exact take resumes — the state chunk carries the whole world.
- MIDI-follow. Feed it chords or a loop from your DAW and the instrument riffs around what you hold.
Own it forever
Buying a Fenophone is like buying a physical instrument, in two ways that matter. The music you make with it is yours — every take you play and export is cleared for your own work, commercial releases included. And no two Fenophones are exactly alike: each instrument carries its own subtle character — the same controls, a feel that is yours alone — so what you're buying is a truly unique instrument, not a copy of everyone else's.
It's a one-time purchase — $99, or $129 bundled with the web unlock. No subscription. The license file validates offline, with no expiry, no device binding, and no phone-home; an unlicensed copy is never hostile — playback and projects always work, it only shows a quiet reminder. Formats: VST3 on Windows, macOS, and Linux; AU/AUv3 on macOS.
The browser stays free
You never need the plugin to make music: the full instrument plays free in your browser, and the one-time web unlock exports per-voice MIDI and stems in your key and tempo — the round-trip into your DAW works today, plugin or not.
